A Letter from Dan Parker
To all my brothers,
As I reflect on the memories of my past, I always fondly remember the formative years of growth in college while developing lifelong relationships as an ATO. I am proud of my heritage as part of the Alpha Tau Omega brotherhood.
Many people go through life and have only a few friendly relationships. I can honestly say that from my years as a ATO, I have dozens of true friends who I dearly care about. I would trade nothing for those eternal bonds.
Like many others, I have not been there to rebuild the fraternity and then keep the momentum growing. A precious few have invested their valuable time to keep the ship afloat. We all owe a debt of gratitude for the alumni who:
- Co-signed loans to purchase the property for ATO actives to stay grounded as a chapter.
- Manage the Eta Gamma Alumni Association.
- Organize tailgate parties and other alumni functions.
- Communicate over the years via web and print.
- Attend chapter meetings to inspire and mentor the actives.
These brothers have extended themselves in an exemplary effort for all of us. It's time that we all compliment their efforts with contributions towards the establishment of a real fraternity home. I want many more young men to share the experience that I was blessed with. With a new facility, we establish a stronger foundation to build upon. Furthermore, we create an environment that is enticing for ATO alumni to return. I look forward to the day when Alpha Tau Omega is truly the envy of every Greek organization on campus.
Together, we can make it happen.
Love and respect, Dan
